UAAS-166 - Create/Delete Partial Views does not trigger a commit

Created by Michael Hyldsgaard 28 Jun 2014, 21:57:57 Updated by Chriztian Steinmeier 28 Feb 2018, 11:40:04

Relates to: U4-5171

Creating or deleting a Partial VIew in back office doesn't trigger a commit. The change therefor cannot be pulled to local dev environment.

If I create a template (that does not include the partial view) it triggers a commit and the partial view is included.

The cshtml files that are created should still be committed to the repository within 5min. though. We have a task running yo pick up files on-disk. Can you verify whether the created file(s) were eventually committed?

It did eventually get commited. I just expected it to be instant like the other parts of Umbraco...

Yes, and that is also the desired approach ;-)

I've developed a habit of typing the partial's name and hitting the return key to save it the first time. Then clicking the Save button to actually save the partial. ''Then,'' I can get it with {{git pull}} immediately :-)
